Hat Patterns
The Cross Rails hat is inspired by days spent at the horse barn, watching horses and riders sail over jumps.
Knit in the round from DK yarn, Cross Rails features textured knit-purl combo motifs. It is a looser fit hat, available in one size for an adult head.
You will need one 225yd/250m skein of DK yarn. Sample is knit in Primrose Yarn Marquess, colorway Squeaky.
The Jalapeño Hat is designed to be tangy and modern with just enough detail to be interesting, without being fussy.
Jalapeño is knit using fingering weight yarn held double. It is made to fit closely to the head, with a flat brim, and is reversible to suit the wearer’s mood.
The hat is knit in one piece. You will need circular and DPN needles in US 3.
Make a Jalapeño and put a little zip in your day!
One 225yd skein of your favorite DK yarn is enough to knit up this slouchy hat. A single cable adds interested to an otherwise simple knit.
The overall simplicity of the final design lends itself to showcasing a bold speckle or a subtle tonal yarn.
The Afternoon Tea hat features a cabled motif on a field of reverse stockinette, intended to create a graphic element that highlights the beauty of a hand dyed yarn.
The flecks of indigo in the speckled Kokon Bleu yarn remind me of the cornflower petals found in some teas, like the Gracia blend I enjoyed in Barcelona years ago. The heaviness of the Aran weight is extra warm and cozy, like a good cup of tea on a cold, grey afternoon.
You will need approximately 160 yards of Aran weight yarn.
Afternoon Tea is also available on Ravelry
